I wonder about hot dogs

I wanted to see the wonder that Rylee doesnt want to see.

Today I wonder: What is in a hot dog?

Aaden's Guess: Meat - maybe from a dog. I think we eat 10 hot dogs in a year.

Mom's Guess: Leftover meat pieces

What we learned: People eat 20 billion hot dogs in a year. In hot dogs there is beef, turkey, and other things. People put different things on their hot dogs.

On my hot dog: Mustard. Sometimes bun and sometimes no bun.

Mom's hot dog: Ketchup and mustard.

Rylee: Ketchup. No bun.

Daddy: Mustard and ketchup.

Easton: Just little pieces of hot dog.

We went to the Iowa Capitol

 

On Thursday we went to the Capitol Building and the Botanical Garden in Des Moines. At the Capitol we went all the way to the top. There was gold and my favorite part was getting dizzy climbing the stairs. Dane took us to the top. We saw them make laws. It was boring because only one guy got to talk. We got snacks at the Capitol.










At the botanical garden I read the signs on the scavenger hunt. Rylee and mommy liked the plants more than me. I liked to smell the vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa though. My favorite part was touching the cactuses.

Tonight I did "Build Your Wild Self" while I waited for my sister at gymnastics. I picked these animals because some of them are my favorite animals. I kind of like tigers, but I like the rest of them. Lions run fast and snakes are not that creepy. And turtles are slow. And tigers and lions fight. And rhinoceros have horns that hurt.

First we counted by 1s to get to 10.

We made 10 squares of 10.



Then I counted by 10s to 100.




And last we put the pop tabs on a string to take to school.

After I am done I will take them to Key to take to the fire station.

My Story Corner

I like reading stories to get on a higher worm for school. I make videos of my books because I want to and I like reading and I'm a smart, smart kid. Also, I love to eat snack. I'm a good helper with Easton. I sometimes read to him. I read Green Eggs and Ham to Easton. When he is bigger he can watch my videos. And I also like to play Wii. You should watch my videos!
